TATTOO PRICING

As recently as the 80’s and 90’s tattoo flash sheets (designs on the tattoo shop wall) would have a price written next to each design, this was called the “wall price”, it was what the customer would generally pay for that particular design. We don’t use this sticker method for pricing anymore, we just use our hand as a quick reference for a “wall price”.

-Most of our work is priced by the piece

-Use the hand chart above as a rough guide for the size and price of your tattoo design.

-Now that you have a rough idea of the size and price, use the color coded body chart to get an idea of how placement affects pricing.

-The provided charts are a good general reference and will give you a rough idea of what you can expect for tattoo pricing and placement.

-Shop minimum is $100.

-Minimum for custom tattoos is $150

-If we have to redraw anything it’s custom.

-Multiple session for large custom tattoo work like full back tattoos, sleeve tattoos, sock tattoos may be charged by an hourly rate. Hourly rates vary from $150+ depending on artist.

-Our tattoo artists are contract workers and set their own hourly rates, please reach out to your artist for pricing custom work.

-Deposits are required for any tattoo appointment and vary between $100-$300 dollars depending on artist. Please keep in mind we often end up drawing and researching your design outside of shop hours to bring you the best tattoo possible.

-Walk in’s are always welcome! They are same day, no appointment necessary tattoos. Call ahead to see when our next available time is, or just show up!

What is tattoo flash? It’s trade terminology that you may, or may not have heard of. Flash applies to a pre drawn, repeatable tattoo design. Displayed on the walls of tattoo shops these designs are traditionally painted on a 11” X 14” sheet of water color paper with brushes and different kind of paints. Images are usually grouped two or six designs to a sheet of paper, but can sometimes include more..

Traveling carnival and circus tattooers of the early 20th century coined the term tattoo flash. They would display their selection of hand painted tattoo designs in a way that would allow them to be put up on display in their booth or taken down and stored for travel to the next town in a “flash”.

Flash tattoos can be a little cheaper than custom work because the designs are already on display, easily reproduced and there is no drawing involved.

We keep the tattoo tradition alive here at Electric Wizard and put paint brush to paper. We have painted all the flash designs on our lobby walls, and most of the shop with love. Stop in and check out our huge collection of hand painted flash anytime!

We can give any flash designs a little razzle dazzle and make it a one of a kind custom tattoo just for you, all you have to do is ask!
