how do I prepare for my appointment?

Here’s a couple things you can do to prep for your time in the chair.

  1. Get a good night sleep, eat well and drink plenty of water the day before.

  2. Try to refrain from more than two alcoholic drinks the night before, and taking any Aspirin directly prior to your appointment.

  3. Make sure to eat something at least four hours ahead of your appointment, don’t get tattooed on an empty stomach! Feel free to bring a snack, some water and your favorite drink with you.

  4. PLEASE, DO NOT APPLY NUMBING CREAM BEFORE YOU COME IN FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT!!!

-The numbing agents in the cream can make your skin difficult to tattoo and results vary widely from person to person. These creams may cause the tattoo to heal poorly, requiring touch ups and exposing you to unnecessary risks. Some people have had reactions and gotten chemical burns from unknown inferior products now on the market.

  5. Don’t be afraid to voice any questions or concerns up front about the design, placement, process, or discuss any known allergies or medical issues.

  6. Bring your earbuds or headphones if you want to listen to your own music, movie or podcast! Shop stereo is reserved for the artist.

  7. If you need to take a break at any point during your tattoo don’t hesitate to ask!

How Do I Care For My New Tattoo?

This is a pretty common question, so here are a few answers.

  1. We will provide you with verbal and written aftercare at the time of your appointment

  2. Following our aftercare instructions ensures your tattoo heals in the quickest way possible and is formulated to the way we tattoo.

  3. Please don’t listen to what your friends or family members used on their tattoo. They didn’t do the tattoo. We can only guarantee the work we do if you use our healing methods.

  4. Do not swim or soak your tattoo in any body of water, or expose your new tattoo to direct sunlight for a couple weeks.

  5. If your tattoo itches for a week or two during the healing process, don’t worry that’s just hair growing back from shaving the tattoo area. If small bumps coincide with the itching feel free to reach out to us.

  6. Don’t pick or scratch that new tattoo!

  7. We get some of these same questions from time to time from people who didn’t get tattooed here. This is a reminder that we are only responsible for our work, for legal reasons we do not offer aftercare advice on tattoos that weren’t performed here.

  8. If you ever have concerns or questions about your healing process don’t hesitate to reach out to the artist and shop where you got your tattoo.

What is a walk-in tattoo?

Walk-in is tattoo artist slang for a same day, no appointment needed tattoo. You simply walk in, unnanounced, without calling ahead and get a tattoo.

  1. We take walk-in’s on a first come first served basis, just remember you have to walk-in to the shop in person (hence the term).

  2. Walk-in designs don’t require a lot of planning and can be completed within an hour or two. IE, something picked off the wall, pre drawn designs from our artists flash, want to do books, or one of the tattoo games.

  3. how big are they? Size can vary, on average they tend to be 3x3” to 5x5”.

  4. We do take bigger tattoos than 4 x 6” as a walk-in. Please understand, they might require an appointment depending on artist schedules and available time that day.

  5. You can’t call in and reserve a walk in, that is an appointment. Please refer to the I Want To Book An Appointment section.

  6. Please understand that appointments take priority and a deposit. You may want to call ahead to check time and availability for the day.
